From a Painful Lesson to a Company Upholding High Standards
For a business to help another business, it must be sufficiently experienced, stable, and successful. However, achieving these components is difficult in a short period of time. Often, success and moments of victory in the journey of a business are just the tip of the iceberg. We want to share what we went through before becoming what we are today.
Our journey began back in 2008 when, as students, we wanted to understand how e-commerce works. Lacking experience but full of youthful enthusiasm, we felt the need to help Lithuanian creators and artisans get noticed in Western Europe. We created the first e-commerce platform that brought together numerous sellers and their products. We not only built the infrastructure but also took care of attractive product presentations, descriptions, UX solutions, and more. However, to our disadvantage, there were no sales at all. After realizing our mistakes and swallowing the bitter pill, we didn’t give up and founded a new online store, “Toys for Children.” Upon discovering Magento technology, we developed a boutique online store system and watched as sales began to grow.
Becoming the Christmas Grinch, we Founded Adeo Web
As Christmas approached, demand surged, traffic grew, and orders increased until we lost control of the processes – we weren’t prepared for the success scenario. We became real-life Grinches, ruining children’s Christmas, as some toys didn’t reach them until March!
After this painful lesson, we decided to sell the business. Reflecting on our experiences and lessons, we founded Adeo Web, a company providing e-commerce solutions.
Over the years, what began as a student project evolved into a mature commitment, a strong team of like-minded people, and an innovative business trusted by well-known e-commerce companies in Lithuania and abroad. Our business journey has been full of challenges, but it is precisely these challenges that have made us experienced partners who drive the success of other businesses through proven methods and data, rather than intuition.

The journey toward a goal can be full of challenges, but more important than any external factors are the team's preparation, trust, patience, and gradual improvement, guided by a clear strategy and mission to deliver value.
Extreme “sports,” or complex technological solutions, are our driving force. We are well aware that high climbers fall hard, which is why quality harnesses—in our case, reliable partners, technology, and experience—help us reach the highest peaks and often exceed client expectations in the e-commerce mountains.
